Neuza Itioka passes away at the age of 81 due to complications from pneumonia

Missiologist Neuza Itioka died on the afternoon of Tuesday, January 6, at the age of 81 due to complications from pneumonia.

Known for her work focused on the liberation movement, inner healing and spiritual battle, Neuza Itioka was a theologian and doctor in missiology, graduated from the Fuller Theological Seminaryin California (USA).

The news of her death was confirmed by the Neuza Itioka Institute on social media: “With deep sadness, we announce the death of Dr. Neuza Itioka. In the last few days, she was affected by pneumonia and was taken to the hospital where she received all the necessary support. It pleased the Lord to take his daughter to himself”, says the note.

“Let us thank the Lord for the honor of serving the Kingdom of God alongside Dr. Neuza.
His legacy, his teachings and his mission will continue to bless many lives. More information about the wake will be coming soon”, added the institute’s page on Instagram.

Neuza Itioka has published several books over more than 50 years of ministerial activity, such as The Gods of Umbanda, Sexual Restoration, Freeing Yourself from Spiritual Prisons, Christ Rescues Us from Every Curse.

Linked to neo-Pentecostal churches, she was ordained to the “apostolate” by Rony Chaves, and even made controversial statements about the return of Jesus in 2018in addition to his defense of the doctrine called “hereditary curse”:

“The fact that you are saved does not mean that you are not under a curse. The person is saved, but, for example, a family that has bankruptcy syndrome. The grandfather never worked in the financial area, the father didn’t work either, the son didn’t either. He accepted Jesus, the bankruptcy syndrome continues with him. So, what do you have to do? We have to check what happened four, five generations ago. You break, you lose forgiveness for those sins”, he declared, in an interview given in 2014 to the portal Guide me.
