Yemeksepeti founder Nevzat Aydın filed a police complaint in Istanbul after receiving a phone call from a Greek phone number where a caller threatening his child demanded one million euros.

Turkish entrepreneur and Yemeksepeti founder Nevzat Aydın reported a threatening phone call to law enforcement in Istanbul after an unknown individual contacted him through a messaging application.
Aydın approached the Beykoz District Police Directorate on October 28, 2026, requesting protection and formal legal action regarding the incident.
Demirören Haber Ajansı noted the filing was made specifically at the Beykoz Public Security Bureau.
According to the statements provided to the authorities, the communication took place at approximately 18:00 local time on Wednesday, October 28, 2026.
The caller utilized a telephone number bearing the international country code +30 for Greece and identified himself as K.A.
He claimed affiliation with an organized criminal network known publicly as the Çirkinler gang, or the “Çirkinler” armed criminal organization according to Diken.
If you don't give us 1 million euros, we will kill your child,
the caller said, according to Bold Medya.
Following the complaint, the Beykoz Public Security Bureau initiated an official investigation to trace the origin of the foreign phone number and verify the identity of the person placing the call.

Aydın stated that the threatening communications began shortly after unverified financial claims circulated regarding a recent Trabzonspor and Beşiktaş football match.
Police Investigate Foreign Phone Call
Law enforcement authorities are examining whether any genuine link exists between the caller’s stated gang affiliation and the digital messages sent from abroad.
Police teams are currently reviewing the origin of the messaging application traffic while determining the actual identity and background of the suspect using the initials K.A.
No arrests have been made.
