New act of vandalism against train on the Bayamo and Havana route

Acts of vandalism on public transportation in Cuba have become common in recent times. Last April, the Havana Provincial Transportation Company reported that a bus, specifically unit 8412, which covers route A58, was hit in the same way. This route begins in Boyeros and Bruzón (Plaza de la Revolución) and concludes its route in the Bahía district (Eastern Havana).

Later, in May, a passenger train that was traveling nationally between Havana and Holguín was the victim of an act of vandalism near the city of Santa Clara.

The attack consisted of throwing stones at the machinery, resulting in the breaking of one of its windows.

Many of the cases occur as a measure of protest by the population, either due to the poor functioning of transportation on the communist island, or one of the many other problems caused by the dictatorship.
