Chennai: A new app has been launched in Chennai to monitor the proper distribution of food to school children.

Chief Minister M. K. Stalin launched the breakfast program for government school children from classes 1 to 5 on the 15th. Following that, last Friday in Chennai, this scheme was implemented for the children of the Corporation schools.

On the first day, khichadi semiya and kesari were given to the students studying in 37 municipal schools in North Chennai area. The next day (Saturday) was declared a government working day in Chennai and schools were functional. Yesterday, for the 3rd day, breakfast is being prepared and distributed to school children in 6 kitchens.

As the Chief Minister has instructed that breakfast should be provided to children on time without any delay, Corporation Commissioner Gagandeep Singh Bedi has introduced a new app to implement it properly. CM13FS Officials monitor through the app. Early morning cooking time, finish time, time of transportation from there, time of distribution at school, time of serving food to children etc. are organized in such a way that this app can be seen instantly. This app is in use so that the first person can monitor it.

There is a delay in the delivery of food in any kitchen. It monitors whether food reaches schools on time without delay. Details such as exact time, delay, holiday etc. are obtained through the app. A corporation official said that appropriate action will be taken in case of delay.
