During the general meeting of members of the German-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce (AHK Azerbaijan), Nargiz Vik was elected as the new executive director of the chamber.
As Day.Az reports with reference to AHK Azerbaijan, more than 80 business representatives attended the meeting.
It is noted that during the meeting, Chairman of the Council of AHK Azerbaijan Anar Hasanov noted that over the last six months of 2024, 15 new companies joined the Chamber, increasing the total number of participants to 196, and also emphasized the importance of joint successes and spoke about key events of the year, including delegation trips, B2B meetings and social events.
Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Azerbaijan Ralf Horlemann spoke about the significant results of COP29 and expressed optimism about the further development of energy cooperation between the countries.
In turn, the new executive director of AHK Azerbaijan, Nargiz Vik, emphasized the strategic importance of Azerbaijan for Germany and Europe. She noted the unique opportunities for cooperation in the fields of energy, logistics and economic modernization.
“Azerbaijan is a strategically important partner for Europe and Germany. In addition to its key role in energy and logistics, the country provides many business opportunities. In the process of modernizing the economy, developing key industries and increasing domestic added value, German companies can make a unique contribution by providing their technologies and solutions,” she said
It is noted that during the meeting, a financial report for the previous year was presented, and internal auditors for 2025 were elected.
