Bajaj has been the first choice of scooter buyers in the Indian market. Currently, Bajaj does not sell any model in the scooter segment. Bajaj recently made a re-entry into the Indian scooter segment with the Setak electric scooter. Bajaj sold almost 30 thousand Setak units in 2022 alone.
This number is expected to increase further. Apart from this, Bajaj is said to be working on introducing a new variant by 2023. It seems that the battery capacity of the new scooter will not get any change. However, with new scooter software, changes may be made to the controller algorithms.
Earlier, according to reports, Bajaj is planning to increase the capacity of the Setak scooter by December 2021. Bajaj Setak model is available in two variants namely Urban and Premium. The current information only includes details about the Setac Premium variant.
The new Bajaj Setak model has the code name 2423. It is said to be available only in the premium variant. This model is powered by a 50.4 Volt 57.24 Ah battery. It also comes with a motor that churns out 4.2kW of peak power. It seems that the new Setac model can go up to 108 kilometers on a full charge.
