BOLZANO. The two new bridges, one for cyclists and one for pedestrians, have been inaugurated in the hamlet of Doladizza, in the municipality of Montagna.

The two bridges cross state road 48, creating a safe connection for cyclists and pedestrians on the route of the old Val di Fiemme railway.

“More environmentally friendly mobility requires adequate infrastructures like these, dedicated to cyclists, pedestrians and bus passengers”, stressed Daniel Alfreider, provincial councilor for mobility. “The Oltradige-Bassa Atesina district community has been collaborating with the Province for years to promote the expansion of cycle paths and routes in the 18 municipalities of our territory”, stressed the president of the district community, Hans Zelger.

“The penultimate section of the cycle path has now been completed, which is an attraction and an enrichment for the entire municipality of Montagna and the surrounding area”, highlighted with satisfaction the mayor of the municipality of Montagna, Monika Delvai. Starting from October 2023, the roadway has been widened in the affected area, mainly to create a better overall view, especially with regard to visibility when cornering. Bus stops have also been made easier and safer with the construction of a sidewalk.
