New bus service starts from Abu Dhabi Airport to Dubai. In the first phase, the bus facility will be provided for passengers of Wizz Air flights. Passengers on other flights can also avail this in the next stage.
The new service will run from Terminals 1, 2 and 3 of Abu Dhabi Airport to the Abu Nubatuta Bus Station in Jebel Ali, Dubai. For this, Dubai RTA has signed an agreement with ‘Capital Express’. Capital Express will be provided to pick up and drop passengers.
RTA will provide parking spaces for buses and other basic facilities for passengers in Dubai. RTA Public Transport Agency CEO Ahmed Hashim Bahrosian said the agreement will improve Dubai-Abu Dhabi transport services. Iyad Ishaq Al Ansari, CEO of Capital Express, said that connecting Dubai city and Abu Dhabi airport in this way will strengthen the tourism sector.
Wizz Air has introduced a system of charging bus fare to passengers along with flight tickets. The authorities indicate that this facility will be made available to other planes in the next phase.
