New Chinese village in Arunachal Pradesh: Congress wonders why Modi is keeping silent

New Delhi: The Congress has accused the Modi government of compromising on the national security of the country. Congress spokesperson Gaurav Vallabh asked why the central government was keeping silent despite reports of a Chinese village being set up near the Arunachal border.

“Why is India watching such moves from China with tolerance? India is doing nothing to stop such moves. Prime Minister Modi should answer the concerns of the people without hiding in the smoke. He should not disrespect the sacrifices of brave soldiers. When will the Modi government respond to these atrocities by China,” he told a news conference.

Earlier, satellite images showed China constructing new buildings near the Arunachal Pradesh border. The new buildings are located 93 km east of the original buildings built by China. China has rebuilt just six kilometers from the border. The construction is close to the international border and the original Line of Control between India and China.

At the same time, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh tweeted that they did not intend to take over any other country’s land and that if any country was looking at India, it would respond accordingly. He added that the country’s brave soldiers would be able to protect every inch of India’s land.
