In an interview with the program “Análisis 90”, the president of LigaPro (Miguel Ángel Loor) pointed against the president of the FEF (Francisco Egas), in a new conflict in sight between these two characters.

Although he avoided going into detail about his statements, Loor launched several attacks on the head of the FEF, assuring that the organization (FEF) is collecting signatures to turn the clubs against the LigaPro.

Asked about this delicate matter, Loor said: “I just want to vent a little. I don’t want to start fighting. But club leaders showed me messages from the FEF president asking for signatures against LigaPro. He himself is asking for the signatures. I saw it with my own eyes.”

Loor mentioned that Egas, through the clubs, is asking for information about the financial balance and how many employees LigaPro has:

“All of this is published on the website, but it is nicer to ask for a letter because it is made public and they say ‘look, it contains signatures’. While we have 40 employees, the FEF has 130, almost three times as many.”

Alfaro Moreno (former president of BSC) was one of the interviewers and Loor revealed a sensitive issue about Egas and the 2022 Libertadores final:

“We must return to being healthy. The gentleman (Alfaro Moreno) was told that if you do not support this (candidate) and remove Loor, we will take away the 2022 Copa Libertadores final from you.”

In light of these strong statements by Loor, it remains to be seen what the FEF president will do, as he was recently in Paraguay to attend the CONMEBOL Congress.
