New driver, speeding at 101 km per hour in the city: fine of 724 euros and suspended license – Bolzano

BOLZANO. Despite the recent regulations which severely limit the use of automatic speed control tools, the Municipal Police of Bolzano continues to carry out targeted control services with dedicated stations with the immediate notification of infringements.

During one of these checks last night around 11pm a motorist was fined for traveling to 101 km/h in the zone where the 50 km/h limit applies. Fine of 724 euros, suspension of driving license from 1 to 3 months and deduction of 12 points (new driver).

Another intervention a few days ago where in the morning and in the center of the city a motorist was found driving with a blood alcohol level of 2.53 g/l (maximum allowed 0.5 g/l). The intervention during a normal check-up. The driver, in addition to not using seat belts, was found not to have a driving license because it was revoked many years ago. The vehicle was seized and the person responsible was reported.
