New DTR Cóbreces scooter, cheaper than traveling by public transport

by time news

Invicta Electric has presented the DTR Cóbreces scooter, which stands out for its cost of use and maintenance that even reduces public transport by half and, of course, much cheaper than that of any equivalent vehicle with a combustion engine. In fact, it proposes the smartest way to get around the city, also the cheapest if we include in the equation the speed with which it allows to cover medium distances. In this sense, it far exceeds scooters and e-bikes, and also four-wheel vehicles as they do not have to spend time looking for a parking space.

Even in terms of its use and maintenance costs, it is where a motorcycle really stands out. The DTR Cóbreces has an approved average consumption of 3.2 kWh/100 km, so with the ‘Iberdrola Electric Vehicle Plan’ rate, with 0.09 euros it can travel 100 km. But it is not necessary to look for the cheapest energy rate or resort to charging at the time when it has the lowest cost. With the average of the valley rate in Spain during the first 5 months of the year, the cost of traveling those 100 km is 0.83 euros and 0.96 euros on the flat, so it does not exceed one euro either. With an equivalent scooter with a combustion engine, with an average consumption of 2.5 l/100 km, and with the average price of a liter of unleaded gasoline at €1.72 in the same period from January to May 2022 -in June has exceeded €2 with a discount of 20 cents- traveling 100 km costs 4.31 euros.

With this, the annual energy cost for an Invicta Electric DTR Cóbreces is 39.84 euros compared to 206.88 euros for gasoline required on an equivalent scooter with a combustion engine.

Maintenance is another point where savings are also considerable. An electric vehicle is mechanically much simpler than one with a combustion engine and has much fewer wear elements. It does not require regular changes of oil, spark plugs, filters… In the Invicta Electric DTR Cóbreces, revisions are every 6,000 km, with a cost of approximately 450 euros for 24,000 km. The scooter with a gasoline engine, on average, according to the manufacturer’s maintenance, requires an investment of 1,400 euros in the same period. In other words, in a year that those 4,800 km are covered, the electric scooter adds a maintenance cost of about 90 euros compared to 280 euros for the gasoline one.
