Transporting a lot of cargo is not always an easy task, especially if the means of transport is an electric bicycle. A German manufacturer called Roland Werk wants to solve this with a line of trailers made for e-bikes.

One of the most recent models is the Maxximus. The product will soon be on the local market and was designed precisely to “transport large things”, says the company.

What does the electric bike trailer look like

The new trailer runs on four wheels, is equipped with a special rotating chassis and has a maximum payload capacity of 220 kg. Although it will probably be used more for commercial purposes, the product is a good option for carrying a small change using a bicycle, for example. According to the German portal Ebike Newsthe Maxximus moves using two hub motors installed in the wheels, helping to propel the bike and save energy during trips. There is also an electronic inertia brake for safer deceleration.

The manufacturer says the product is more advantageous than buying a full cargo e-bike, as the trailer can be stored at home or at the business when in use, while calls “e-cargos” are generally larger and less practical to transport and store.

Roland Werk also offers more modest trailers and trailers for other purposes in its product line. Image: Disclosure
