New face of ‘Presidential election in 2023’?

by time news

Former Minister and Member of Parliament Patali Champika Ranawaka has stated that the next Presidential election in Sri Lanka will be held in 2023.

He made this statement at a press conference held in Jaffna and said that anyone who acts against honest abuse will be fielded in the election.

He further commented,

“During the tenure of the Good Governance Government, various development projects were launched in the North to develop the city of Jaffna as well as cities like Colombo and Galle.

However, at present all the funds allocated for the continuation of such projects have been stopped by this Government. Don’t know why they do that? I think they are doing this for political revenge.

The Rajapaksas will only implement development projects named after them. The fact is that the people will not act in the best interests of the people. “
