Thousands of Bancolombia customers woke up to an unpleasant surprise when checking their savings accounts through the bank’s app.

Bancolombia’s reaction

Faced with the growing wave of complaints, Bancolombia was quick to issue an official statement to calm its customers. The bank acknowledged the existence of a technical problem that had affected a significant number of accounts, causing changes in the balances visible in the application.

“Our clients’ money and data are safe at Bancolombia. At this time, they may not be able to see their balances through some of our channels. We are resolving this and will inform you when it is resolved. We apologize,” Bancolombia said.
