Crown Princess Victoria celebrated her 47th birthday on Sunday. A very special family photo was taken on her special day.
Sweden’s Crown Princess Victoria turned 47 on Sunday. The whole country traditionally celebrates Victoria Day on this day. This year was no different: numerous fans congratulated the heir to the throne in front of Solliden Palace in the afternoon and later in Borgholm, where a concert was held in the castle ruins in the evening. Several photos of the celebrations have now been published on Instagram.
One photo shows birthday girl Victoria with her husband Prince Daniel and their children Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar. The four royals smile at the camera. Posing on the photo are, among others, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia as well as Victoria’s siblings with their spouses and children: Prince Carl-Philip and Princess Sofia with their sons Prince Alexander, Prince Gabriel and Prince Julian as well as Princess Madeleine and husband Christopher O’Neill with Princess Leonore, Prince Nicolas and Princess Adrienne.
The royals were all dressed in summery colors, birthday girl Victoria wore a white and light blue dress with a floral pattern, daughter Estelle a white mini dress with pink and yellow flowers. Madeleine and her daughters also opted for floral summer dresses. Queen Silvia wore a pink tweed suit. Carl Gustaf stood out in a royal blue jacket, while son-in-law Daniel was dressed in light blue to match his wife.
At around 3:50 p.m. on Sunday, Victoria received congratulations from the public in front of Solliden Palace, then the Crown Princess and her family went to Borgholm in a procession. At 5 p.m., the Victoria Concert took place in the palace ruins. The birthday girl also presented the Victoria Prize to Swedish volleyball player Isabelle Haak.
