It has been reported that a banner has been displayed in Batticaloa stating that the Member of Parliament Chanakkiyan will take over as the new Finance Minister.
It is learned that the banner has been displayed near the Batticaloa-Kalladi bridge since last night.
The banner reads, “Congratulations to Chanakyan Gem on his appointment as the new Finance Minister.”
Also, the Youth Front of the Sri Lanka Tamil National Party has claimed the rights to this banner. Moreover, the banner has drawn everyone’s attention as expectations of who will be the next finance minister in the country have increased.
