New Hampshire State Police reported that around 10:30 p.m., multiple calls came in regarding a two-vehicle crash on the southbound side of the highway at mile marker 63. When authorities arrived at the scene, they found an Audi Q5 and a Volkswagen Jetta, both significantly damaged.

The Volkswagen Jetta, driven by 24-year-old Gabriel Anthony of Pittsfield, was disabled in the right-breakdown lane. Anthony was outside of the vehicle when he and the car were struck by the Audi Q5, which was being driven by 38-year-old Kristina Perry of Franklin. Tragically, Anthony was pronounced dead at the scene, while Perry sustained minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital.

Perry, who is employed by the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services as a juvenile probation and parole officer, has been arrested for driving while intoxicated (DWI) and is currently being held without bail. She is expected to appear in court on Monday to face the charges against her.
