49 new professionals joined Zonal Coordination 5 of the Ministry of Public Health (MSP) in the first quarter of 2023. This as part of the strategy to strengthen care for patients and users, in this case, in the provinces of Bolívar, Galápagos, Guayas, Santa Elena and Los Ríos.
The new staff will enhance care in the first and second level units of the health system. According to the Zone 5 human talent management template, 16 nurses, 11 general practitioners, an ophthalmologist and a pediatrician were hired.
Similarly, to reinforce actions with a focus on eating and healthy lifestyles, 12 nutritionists, a paramedic and a primary health care technician were incorporated. For the laboratory and imaging service, a medical imaging technologist and a medical laboratory technologist were admitted; also a warehouse keeper, and a district file technician.
For promotion and prevention projects, a district health promotion and equality specialist was hired, as well as a specialist in environmental health promotion.
Indira Núñez, an imaging specialist, is part of the new professionals who will provide their services in the X-ray area of the Alfredo Noboa Hospital in Guaranda, Bolívar province. “Being here will allow me to care for patients and thus provide a quality service in this hospital unit,” said the official.
Hugo Lozano, responsible for the management of human talent of the Zonal 5 Coordination, explained that the new professionals applied to the workplace through the Platform www.encuentraempleo.gob.ec of the Ministry of Labor.
To access the jobs, the applicants complied with the respective delivery of documentation, they also participated in the interview phase.
The Ministry of Public Health continues to search for health professionals who contribute and transform public health services to guarantee the well-being of the population.
