(ANSA) – SAN BENEDETTO DEL TRONTO, 14 AUG – New hospital in San Benedetto del Tronto: the Marche Region is proceeding with the process for the construction of the new facility. In this sense, the Conference of Services was held yesterday at Palazzo Raffaello with the Health Councilor Filippo Saltamartini and the Public Works Councilor Francesco Baldelli to take stock of the so-called “requirements framework” of the new hospital, in relation to the data of its planning.
Present at the meeting were the director of the Health Department Antonio Draisci, the director of the Marche Regional Health Agency Flavia Carle, the general director of the Ascoli Territorial Health Authority Nicoletta Natalini, the director of the Infrastructure Department Nardo Goffi and the manager of the Health, Hospital and School Building Sector Andrea Bartoli.
During the meeting, which represents a fundamental stage in the process of awarding the tender for the design, the healthcare needs plan for the construction of the new facility was examined in detail, a plan entrusted to the Department of Hospital Construction of Francesco Baldelli.
“The construction of the new hospital in San Benedetto del Tronto – declared President Francesco Acquaroli – is a priority objective for our administration, to guarantee an adequate structure for the city and the entire reference area”. The new complex will in fact serve the citizens of the district of San Benedetto del Tronto and its surroundings, with an estimated population of about 150 thousand inhabitants, in addition to the tourist presence, being a first level hospital, home to fundamental specialist departments.
The Conference also discussed the role that the San Benedetto hospital in particular plays in providing services to nearby Abruzzo.
Following the Conference of Services, the Department of Public Works can now begin the preparation of the Documento di direzione alla progettazione (Dip) – the strategic document through which the characteristics, requirements and documents necessary for the definition of each level of the design are identified – for the new San Benedetto hospital. The DIip will represent the design basis from which to start the call for tenders for the assignment of the works. (ANSA).
