New images of Princess Leonor in uniform and armed with a rifle

This Tuesday we saw the first images of Princess Leonor receiving from her companions at the General Military Academy of Zaragoza the saber that accredits her as a lady cadet, one more step in her military training that will last two years. As she has already completed her basic training and is an army officer, this Wednesday more images were made public that summarize her first month at the Academy.

In these photographs you can see cadet Borbón Ortiz dressed in the Army field uniform, backpack and armed with a rifle. In them she talks, laughs and is with her companions, performing maneuvers, also aquatic, and even goes on a march.

It was this Wednesday when Princess Leonor’s course officially began after Tuesday’s ceremony in which she was presented with the saber that symbolically accredits her as a lady cadet.

The heiress has already completed a period of basic military training at the academy in which, along with other activities, the cadets have carried out shooting exercises, crossing a combat track, topographical tours, light steps or crossing water courses .

Now, in the basic military training phase, the individual instruction of the combatant, moral and military training begins, while knowledge about weapons and equipment is imparted, according to Zarzuela.

October 7 is the next date marked on the heiress’s military training calendar, the day on which she will swear the flag with the more than 600 students who entered the academy with her.
