New Immigrants from the USA Land in Israel Amidst the War – Inspiring Stories and Policy Changes

by time news

Despite ongoing conflict and tensions, three flights from the USA carrying 25 new immigrants landed in Israel this morning. The group consists of individuals from various states including New York, New Jersey, Florida, California, Maryland, Michigan, and Ohio. These immigrants will be living in cities such as Jerusalem, Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Haifa, Netanya, Beit Shemesh, Petah Tikva, Rosh Ha’Ein, Ma’ale Adumim, and more.

Among the new immigrants is Joshua Rosenthal from Maryland, who shared his brave decision to immigrate despite the difficult war situation. Rosenthal’s aunt had previously immigrated to Israel in 1979 and initially thought he was crazy for wanting to do the same. However, Rosenthal remains determined, stating, “As long as I have a seat on the plane with my name on it, I’m coming. Hope is our secret weapon and that’s what will help us get through this period.”

In another development related to immigration, Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir has approved the expansion of conditions for immigrants in eligible communities to receive firearms. This includes Yosh, and the 3-year waiting period from the moment of receiving the immigrant’s certificate will be cancelled. The decision comes after a request from the head of the Samaria Council, Yossi Dagan. The amendment will be published in the records in the coming days and will take effect thereafter.

The immigration to Israel continues even during these challenging times, and it is evident that many individuals from different parts of the world remain committed to the dream of living in the country.
