According to reports, Chief Minister Stalin declined an invitation to meet with Rahul in Delhi due to ongoing conflict between Udayanidhi and Karti Chidambaram. The meeting, led by Congress leader Kharge, aimed to discuss the next steps following Rahul’s loss of office. Despite being willing to attend the meeting, Udayanidhi was criticized by Congress MP Karthi Chidambaram in a Pudukottai interview regarding NEET exemption. This provoked Udayanidhi’s camp, and they published social media posts, including praising Karti’s DMK inclusion in election policies but suggesting BJP’s H.Raja win the Sivagangai seat instead of him. DMK sources have claimed that this controversy likely led to Stalin’s avoidance of meeting Rahul. Rahul reportedly expressed frustration towards Karthi and ignored his attempt to welcome him outside Parliament.
But in Pudukottai Congress MP Karthi Chidambaram criticized Minister Udayanidhi in an interview. “Don’t ask me everything about what Minister Udayanidhi said regarding NEET exemption,” he said angrily.
This infuriated the Udayanidhi side. As an indication of that, the posts published by the Udhayanithi party on social media:
* Karti Chidambaram also won because of DMK’s inclusion in the election manifesto regarding the cancellation of NEET exam.
* In Sivagangai again Karthi should be given ‘seat’. But H.Raja of BJP should be made to win. Because he is better than him.
* Definitely, don’t give seat to Karthi. A strong DMK should field the candidate.
* Only after confirming that Karthik does not have a seat in the Lok Sabha elections, the alliance talks with the Congress should go ahead. This is what they posted.
It is said in DMK circles that because of this issue, Stalin avoided the plan to meet Rahul. After knowing this, Rahul is very angry with Karthi. Rahul visited the Parliamentary Congress office in Delhi yesterday. At that time, Karti, who was standing at the door of Parliament, tried to welcome him with his hand. But Rahul left without even seeing his face.
