FC Bayern Munich is the most successful football club in Germany. In our news ticker you will find all the important news about the record champions.

FC Bayern will apparently be sporting a retro look next season. The well-informed portal “Footy Headlines” has now published the German record champions’ third jerseys for the coming season. The pictures show a cream-colored jersey on which the main sponsor and the equipment crest are printed in a wine-red tone.

Wine-red stripes can also be found on the polo collar of the jersey and on the sleeve. There is also a stripe in a bright red tone. A subtle diamond pattern runs across the entire jersey, as can be seen in the Bavarian state flag and the Munich club crest. The crest is also an older version.

Honorary President Uli Hoeneß has revealed his dream transfer at FC Bayern. “I am a fan of Florian Wirtz. Everyone knows that I would like to see him at Bayern Munich,” said the honorary president of the record champions during a visit to the Bavarian amateur club SV Seligenporten, which celebrated its 75th anniversary on Sunday.

Wirtz is currently under contract with Bayer Leverkusen until 2027. He won the league and cup double with the Werkself last season. According to transfermarkt.de, the German international’s market value is currently 130 million euros. Hoeneß recently spoke at a “FAZ” event about FC Bayern being able to make another 100 million euro transfer for a certain German international. Bayern made their only 100 million euro deal to date last summer with Tottenham Hotspur for the transfer of star striker Harry Kane.

The German record champions’ personnel planning for the new season is apparently taking shape. Now Bayern are said to have made an important transfer decision. As Sky reported on Friday, the management has decided to sign either Xavi Simons, who was loaned to RB Leipzig from Paris Saint-Germain last season – or Désiré Doué from the French first division club Stade Rennes. Signing both players is currently out of the question.

The reasons for this are both the presumably high transfer fees for both players and the fact that no player has been sold for a large sum this summer. The priority is clearly on Xavi, who is the declared transfer target of Bayern sporting director Max Eberl. For this reason, no second offer has been made for Doué. Rennes rejected the first.

Xavi, who had a strong season for Leipzig, has been in talks with the Munich club for some time. It was recently reported that the club would offer 90 million euros for the Dutch international (read more here). Doué, who is only 19 years old, is considered a top talent and is just as versatile in attack. The French U23 international has a contract in Rennes that runs until 2026.

The Spanish European champion Dani Olmo, on the other hand, is only an option if neither of the two transfers works out, according to Sky.

Former Bayern goalkeeper Pepe Reina has found a new club at the age of 41. The 2010 Spanish world champion, who played for record champions Bayern Munich in the 2014/15 season, signed a one-year contract with Italian first division newcomers Como 1907 until the summer of 2025. The club announced this on Thursday. After his contract with Spanish first division club FC Villarreal expired at the end of June, he was recently without a club.
