Last week, the Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa, made important announcements for small taxpayers. These included an increase in Federal Administration of Public Income (AFIP) to the billing limits of the monotribute. In addition, they confirmed new loans of up to $2.2 million for monotributistas.

More than a million monotributistas will access financing with a financed interest rate.

The new loans for monotributistas will be up to $2.2 million. In this way, the State will help them to finance their projects with a lower rate than the inflationary process.

So far, no details have been given on the special credits for small taxpayers. However, it is known that the rate would be around 40%.

The processing of the credit can be done directly in the bank in which it operates normally. It will be available for all categories of the Monotributo intended for the provision of services. That is, the I, J and K will be excluded.

This credit line will be aimed at micro-enterprises of productive activities, professionals will be excluded. It may be used for investments in working capital.

The maximum amount to be requested will be $2.2 million to be returned in up to 24 installments.

Those people who previously accessed a loan and paid well will receive a benefit. They will increase the maximum amount by 50%.

The benefit will not be available to debtors of the Argentine Guarantee Fund (Fogar).

Increase in billing ceilings for monotributistas

As of July 1, an increase in the billing limits of the Monotribute will come into effect. For this reason, many monotributistas will be able to keep their current category. It will also allow others not to go to the General Regime (Autonomous).

One thing to keep in mind is that this measure was requested by the Professional Council of Economic Sciences of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. The entity sent a letter directly to the Minister of Economy asking for an update of the amounts.
