New Mexico to industrialize the smell of roasted chilies

Then listen, New Mexico City in America is trying to get such an official fragrance. A new bill under consideration in the legislature has decided to choose the smell of roasted green chilies as Mexico’s official scent. The bill recommends adding an official scent to Mexico’s list of state symbols. The bill was proposed by Democratic State Senator William Soules.

If the bill passes the Legislature, the state emblem would be added to New Mexico’s official symbols. According to the New Mexico Legislature’s website, the proposal would take effect June 16 if approved. The bill is currently under consideration by lawmakers.

Senator William Soules came to the decision to choose the smell of roasted green chilies as Mexico’s official scent from conversations he had with students during a school visit. William Soules says about this that when he came up with such an idea, he thought about many smells but could not find another smell that stood out.

Green chilies are an indispensable ingredient in all meals in Mexico, and green chilies are on Mexico’s list of official vegetables. Therefore, it is generally believed that there is no mistake in choosing the smell of roasted green chillies as the official aroma.
