Exciting news for Mortal Kombat 1 fans as dataminers have discovered potential new DLC characters for the game. Earlier leaks hinted at additional content, and now reports suggest that dialogue lines found in the game’s code may point to upcoming DLC characters.
According to IGN, dataminer ‘thethiny’ has shared their findings so far, which include a list of possible characters that could be part of the DLC. The list includes:
- Noob Saibot
- Cyrax (Robot)
- Kotal / He-Man / Conan
- Ghostface
- Unknown Girl
- Jade
- Cassie Cage
- Kung Jin
These potential additions to the roster feature both familiar faces from previous Mortal Kombat games and some surprises. Notably, characters like Ghostface from the Scream series, Conan the Barbarian, and He-Man might make their way into the game.
In addition, a Twitter user named Yeetrail discovered a reference to Terminator’s T-1000, played by Robert Patrick. It is worth noting that Robert Patrick is also the father of Peacemaker, a DLC character already announced for the Kombat Pack.
While these datamines provide intriguing clues, it’s important to remember that they do not guarantee an official announcement. NetherRealm, the game’s developer, still needs to release the Kombat Pack, which includes Peacemaker, Omni-Man, Homelander, Quan Chi, Ermac, and Takashi Takeda. The pack will also feature five more Kameo Fighters.
