Knesset member Galit Distel Atbarian addressed the issue during an interview on 103FM, saying: “Remove worry from your hearts, Netanyahu’s trial is not going to be canceled. If we put Netanyahu’s personal suffering aside, this trial is good for the right. Smotrich said that it will not be retroactive and that it is not will apply to Netanyahu.”
Likud candidate Boaz Bismut also clarified on 103FM: “Smotrich’s proposals will not be applied retroactively and will not affect the proceedings regarding Netanyahu, which at best are collapsing in the High Court. Any proposal related to the Netanyahu trial will not be promoted.”
