It was at the Docks d’Aubervilliers (Seine-Saint-Denis), a stone’s throw from the aptly named “Front Populaire” metro station, that Jean-Luc Mélenchon decided to convene the first Convention of the New People’s Ecological Union and social (Nupes). A convention intended to invest the 577 legislative candidates and thus kick off what the Insoumis like to call the “third round” of the presidential election, with the key, they hope, a possible cohabitation with Emanuel Macron.
