Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has announced to increase the price of gold. This time the price has increased to a maximum of 1 thousand 750 taka. As a result, the price of a good quality i.e. 22 carat gold bar will be 1 lakh 15 thousand 824 taka. This price is the highest ever. Today, gold was sold at 1 lakh 14 thousand 74 rupees per load.

This information was informed in a press release signed by Masudur Rahman, chairman of the Price Determination and Price Monitoring Standing Committee of Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) on Saturday (April 6).

According to Bajus, the price of acidic gold has increased in the local market. The new price of gold has been fixed keeping in view the overall situation. The notification also informed that the new price will be implemented from Sunday (April 7).

According to the new prices, the price of best quality or 22 carat (11.664 grams) gold is Tk 1 lakh 15 thousand 824, 21 carat gold is Tk 1 lakh 10 thousand 575, 18 carat Tk 94 thousand 770 and Sanatan. The price of system gold will be sold at 78 thousand 965 taka.

While the price of gold has increased, silver has been kept unchanged. According to the category, at present the price of 22 carat silver is 2 thousand 100 taka, 21 carat is 2 thousand 6, 18 carat is 1715 and traditional silver is 1 thousand 283 taka.

On Saturday, 22 carat (11.664 grams) gold was sold at 1 lakh 14 thousand 74, 21 carat 1 lakh 8 thousand 883, 18 carat 93 thousand 312 and traditional method gold was sold at 77 thousand 799 taka.
