Built on the CMF-B modular platform, Renault’s SUV will take the place of Sandero and also Stepway, serving as an access model.

It is expected that it will debut the H4Dt engine, the 1.0 TCe with 100 or 110 horsepower, in addition to torque above 17 kgfm and CVT Xtronic transmission.

With this only engine option, Renault’s new compact SUV will have weapons to face players like the Fiat Pulse, for example.

The project has been tested by Dacia in Europe and seems to have a connection with the coupe-style crossover, which would be a derivative of the New Logan and known as the Taliant X.

This model would be Renault’s answer to the Fiat Fastback, using the base of the New Logan that would be made here, but with the change of plans, the French company would only consider crossovers.

The move should improve Renault’s sales and pave the way for the Arkana, as well as the Megane-E.
