Alzheimer’s is a very debilitating disease that causes the nerve cells in the brain to die. It is also an incurable brain disorder. But researchers have now developed a new method that can help with the early detection of dementia.

A new study found that Alzheimer’s can be seen in the eyes. A research team from the University of San Diego in California investigated a screening method for early detection of the disease. The study was published in the journal Neurobiology of Aging.

The researchers observed pupillary reactions during cognitive tests. Slight cognitive impairments could be recognized on the basis of the eye reactions.
