SIM card rules may change from time to time. Some time ago, a new rule came regarding SIM cards. Today we are going to tell you about one such rule which can surprise anyone. Also, it is going to affect the users the most. Because new rules related to SIM cards have been imposed by the government to prevent online fraud.

Prohibition on private companies

Taking action, the Telecom Department said that private companies cannot buy more than 100 SIM cards. They can buy a maximum of 100 SIM cards at a time. This decision has been taken with the aim of curbing online scams and the increasing number of SIM cards. If any company needs more SIMs than this, then they will have to request. This request can be made by the MD of the companies.

What is the complete rule-

If a company needs SIM cards in bulk, then they will have to apply for it in batches of 100 SIM cards. After this, to get more SIMs, they will have to apply again the next day. Complete information will be obtained before issuing the SIM card. In this, the user will also have to do E-Verification along with the MD. The SIM card will be issued only after complete verification along with the photograph.

What was the rule earlier-

There was no restriction of any kind on companies. They could buy unlimited number of SIMs. But now after making changes in this also, it has become necessary that the employee himself will do the E-Verification of the SIM. Only after completing it, the SIM card will be usable. The process of SIM card activation will be completed only when the user’s KYC is completely updated. This will not be done before that. That is, steps are being taken by the government to completely control this. However, apart from this, many new decisions are being taken by the government to stop cyber crime which are going to directly affect the users.
