“People are used to thinking of a building as a place where the higher you go, the more important spaces and people are, but the new Snam building is not like that: look at its center, because there are the relationships between people”. This is how Gino Garbellini, architect, presented the building that will house the new Snam headquarters in Milan, as part of the Symbiosis project, as part of the redevelopment of Scalo Porta Romana. Garbellini spoke during the conference “New, resilient and sustainable cities” organized by Snam as part of the 17th International Architecture Exhibition, at the Arsenale in Venice.
“The environments are designed around this relationship between people, and between people and the environment, with the interaction between the environment and the inhabited space at the center,” added the architect. “The project for the new headquarters in the Porta Romana airport – wrote Snam in a note – in line with the company’s purpose of contributing to the energy transition in the interest of all its stakeholders, adopts an innovative approach to respond to some of the main environmental challenges of our time, such as reducing CO₂ emissions, improving air quality and making cities more liveable “.
