New startup: You would not believe how many miles the Tesla car was swallowed

Tesla Model S has covered more than 1,200 kilometers – from Tel Aviv to Eilat three times – thanks to a special battery installed by a new start-up company called ONE-Our NexT ‘Energy’

Tesla Model S has covered a distance of over 1,200 kilometers thanks to a special battery of a two-year-old startup from Michigan called “ONE-Our Next Energy”.

The company strives to produce safe and sustainable batteries. The new start-up company installed the batteries in Tesla’s cars, (it should be noted that it is the same weight and size as Tesla’s battery) and managed to achieve twice the driving range of what the original Tesla battery offers.

With all due respect to electric vehicles, the ultimate buyer will always look for a solution to increase the range of travel, which will buy him peace of mind and confidence in using the electric vehicle. Today there are 2 solutions to this, the first is fast DC charging everywhere, reliable nationwide, just like Tesla’s SuperCharger network deployed in Israel these days. At the moment Tesla is the only one offering the fast charging network, with every other electric vehicle relying on private networks, with reliability varying from station to station. Another way is to improve the range of electric vehicles by combining batteries with a larger capacity, along with improving their efficiency. This is the approach that Mercedes used with the Vision EQXX, a particularly efficient electric concept vehicle unveiled last week.

Indeed ONE’s startup is not about improving current battery efficiency, but using a much higher capacity battery that will dramatically increase range of travel, “We want to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles by eliminating the range anxiety that is holding back consumers today,” said the company’s founder and CEO. Mojib Lijaz, a battery engineer with more than 30 years of experience in the field.
