For the first time, unified tariffs for connection to water supply and sewerage systems have been approved in Azerbaijan.

As Day.Az reports, the decision was made at a meeting of the Tariff Council.

According to the information, previously these works were carried out without government regulation and a fixed cost for the services provided was not established.

The one-time tariff for connecting to the water supply network for Baku, Sumgayit, Khirdalan and the Absheron region is set at 200 manats, for other administrative-territorial units – 170 manats. The tariff for connection to the sewerage system for Baku, Sumgayit, Khirdalan and Absheron region will be 345 manats, for other administrative-territorial units – 290 manats.

For construction projects with flow rates up to 100 cubic meters. m per day, tariffs for connection to the water supply system depend on the diameter of the pipe – 995 or 1015 manats, and for the sewerage system – 1635 manats.

Connection work carried out at the expense of the construction site covers a distance of up to 30 meters. If the distance exceeds 30 meters, the extension of the existing network is carried out by the supplier at no additional cost.

The new regulation will reduce connection costs, improve the quality of services, transparency of finance and accounting, and will also allow entrepreneurs to calculate expenses in advance when investing.

We previously reported that the Tariff Council of Azerbaijan revised prices for a number of utility services.
