by time news

Toyota has already started planning the future of the new Hilux, which should gain electric, hybrid and hydrogen-powered versions. The new generation of the medium pick-up must be launched before 2030.

The information that the new Toyota Hilux should gain electric, hybrid and hydrogen configurations was released by the Australian website Drive, which interviewed Sean Hanley, head of sales and marketing at Toyota Australia. The executive also informed that the hybrid versions are easier to be produced by the brand.

The new Toyota Hilux must use the TNGA-F platform, which can support electrified systems. If it is sold in Brazil, it may have a hybrid flex version, as with the Toyota Corolla and Corolla Cross. However, there is still no information about the mechanics of the electric, hybrid versions or how the hydrogen-powered system will work.
