Colombo (News 1st) The Railway Department is planning to induct a new train from next month to carry timber.
The Railway Department has mentioned that the trial transport operations of the said train have now started.
This decision has been taken to reduce the high cost of transporting wood crops due to increase in fuel prices and the damage to wood crops during transportation.
