Sutter Health Expands Urgent Care Network with New West Roseville Location

Sutter Health continues its commitment to accessible healthcare in the Sacramento region with the opening of a new urgent care center in West Roseville on February 2, bolstering its network and easing pressure on local emergency departments.

Sutter Health this week celebrated the milestone with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, signaling another step in the organization’s systemwide expansion strategy. The new urgent care facility, located at 4001 Woodcreek Oaks Blvd., aims to bring high-quality medical services closer to residents of Placer County and surrounding communities.

Addressing Growing Healthcare Needs in a Rapidly Developing Area

The 5,010-square-foot center will be staffed by two providers and builds upon the momentum generated by the opening of Sutter Urgent Care in Rocklin in August 2025. According to a senior official, the strategic placement of the new facility was “intentional,” designed to serve the burgeoning neighborhoods of West Roseville.

“As Roseville and the surrounding areas continue to grow, our commitment is to grow with them,” the official stated. “We want exceptional, accessible care to be part of this community from the start.”

The location offers convenient access for residents, situated between the established Roseville Galleria shopping district and the expanding Baseline Marketplace, anchored by a new Costco. This accessibility is a key component of Sutter Health’s broader strategy to improve healthcare delivery in the region.

Reducing Emergency Room Strain and Enhancing Care Coordination

The new urgent care center is poised to alleviate some of the burden on emergency departments, particularly at Sutter Roseville Medical Center. As one analyst noted, the facility will provide a more appropriate setting for treating non-emergent conditions, allowing emergency room clinicians to focus on critical cases.

“Opening an urgent care in West Roseville reflects our shared priority of delivering the right level of care at the right time, in the most appropriate setting,” said a representative from Sutter Medical Group.

The center will offer a range of services designed to meet everyday healthcare needs, including:

  • Same-day urgent care services
  • On-site diagnostic imaging
  • “On My Way” online check-in through My Health Online, enabling patients to notify the clinic of their arrival.

A Broader Expansion Across the Greater Sacramento Region

The West Roseville location is part of a larger initiative by Sutter Health to expand access to both primary and specialty care throughout the greater Sacramento region. In December, the health system opened the 70,000-square-foot Sutter Arden Care Center near Cal Expo in Sacramento. Plans are also underway for the Sutter Advanced Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Care Complex in downtown Sacramento.

This strategic expansion extends to the communities of Folsom and Elk Grove, demonstrating Sutter Health’s commitment to serving a wider geographic area. The overarching goal is to reduce travel times, enhance access to essential services, and provide more timely and convenient care for the communities it serves.
