A tourist company has been sued for $5 million in damages after a young newlywed couple on their honeymoon in the United States were stranded in the middle of the ocean.

A shock at the honeymoon destination

Alexander Burkell and Elizabeth Webster from California, USA, went on their honeymoon to Hawaii Island with the help of a travel agency.

Both were taken there for deep sea scuba diving organized by a snorkeling tour company from Lahania.

The couple, who were scuba diving, had invited a tour group to venture into a dangerous unswimmable area, but they had forgotten about the couple and returned to shore.

As a result, the panicked couple tried to cross the shore by swimming, and at one point the couple, fearing that they would die, returned to the shore and contacted the tourist agency.

5 million compensation

The rescued couple have sued the company that left them stranded in the deep sea and demanded $5 million in compensation.

But the tourism company, which has not given any explanation in this regard, is reported to have made changes only in their regulations.
