Nellikuppam: The newly married couple took shelter in the police station seeking protection.

Kumar’s son Bharadraj, 23, from PN Palayam next to Nellikuppam, and Bhaskaran’s daughter Mummisha, 22, from the same area, were in love for the past two years.

Mummisha’s parents came to know about this and sent her to her grandmother’s house in Siruvanthadu Motsakulam in Villupuram district. There Mummisha went with her lover Bhadraji and got married in the temple at Koliyanoor.

Based on the complaint filed by Mummisha’s parents, the Valavanur police registered a case and searched for Mummisha. In this case, Bharatrajim and Mummisha sought shelter at the Nellikuppam police station, claiming that their lives were in danger.

Inspector Srinivasan called both the parents and reconciled and sent the couple away.
