Today, Sunday, Erbil team imposed a draw on its host, Newroz, with four goals each in the northern derby for the (38) and final round of the Iraqi Premier League for the current season (2023-2024).
The correspondent of the (INA) reported that “player Marwan Hussein scored the first goal for Newroz in the (18) minute from a penalty kick, while player Claudio Oliveira added the second goal for Newroz in the (29) minute.”
He added, “Player Mohammed Qasim Naseef reduced the score for Erbil with a goal he scored in minute (36), while player (Eviani) scored the score for Newroz by scoring the third goal in minute (5+45).”
He explained that “player Ali Shakhwan reduced the score for Erbil in minute (59), before Mohammed Qasim Naseef scored the equalizer for Erbil in minute (61), and player Ahmed Khaled scored the fourth goal for Newroz in minute (79), and player Mohammed Qasim Naseef equalized for Erbil by scoring the hat-trick from a penalty kick in minute (2+90) of the match.”
He explained that “the second match of the same round saw Al-Hudood team defeat its counterpart Al-Karkh by three goals to two. Al-Karkh took the lead first through player Mujtaba Saleh in minute (15), and Al-Hudood equalized through its player Ibrahim Ghazi in minute (29) before the same player added the second goal in minute (44).”
He stated that “Al-Hudud player Mahmoud Ahmed scored the third goal for his team in the (79) minute of the match, before player Anas Malik reduced the goal for Al-Karkh in the (90+5) minute.”
