The Director of the National Center for the Promotion of Mental Health at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Abdel Hamid Al Habib, revealed how to differentiate between a drug abuser or a mentally ill person.
Dr. Abdel Hamid Al-Habib told the website:News 24Differentiating between a psychological disorder or abuse requires a specialist in psychotherapy because of its difficulty.
He pointed out some differences between the two cases, including, that the abuser has episodes of sudden change, in addition to his request for money, and the quality of the friends he accompanies, while the mental illness is continuous and often leads to the patient losing his friends.
