Al-Nahdi told the website:News 24“This is not new on the site, as it is considered a platform for framework agreements in general, and this section is for “medical insurance” to raise requests from government agencies before offering to the Etimad platform, and it is meant government agencies that provide insurance coverage for their employees, according to their work regulations.
He added that framework agreements can be defined as one of the new procurement methods in the government competition and procurement system, which is an agreement between a government entity and suppliers, contractors or contractors, and includes the terms and conditions of contracts that will be awarded during a certain period.
He pointed out that the Expenditure Efficiency Authority is the competent authority for unified procurement by concluding framework agreements on behalf of government agencies.
Al-Nahdi stressed that these agreements are characterized by improving the quality of products and services and standardizing their specifications, reducing financial waste, stabilizing terms and prices in contracts and purchase orders, enhancing local content, and supporting small and medium enterprises.
