Today, Wednesday, Minister of Health Fahd Al-Jalajel inaugurated the first advanced factory for the manufacture of medical devices, in the presence of the CEO of the Food and Drug Authority, Hisham Al-Jadhi.
This came during the Minister’s visit to the Al-Dawaa Medical Services pavilion at the World Health Forum, which was held from 9-11 October; The factory aims to increase the proportion of local content in the health sector to achieve one of the initiatives of the “Kingdom’s Vision 2030”, and to transfer knowledge and the latest developments in the world in cooperation with international companies, as well as diversify products in line with government programs.
Al-Dawaa for Medical Services and BGI Al-Manahil of China signed a number of agreements in the areas of logistics; To develop and manufacture medical devices and provide health care services.
Al-Dawaa reviewed the services of the First Health Care Transformation Company, which is based on a strategic vision that is to be one of the pillars of health care transformation in the Kingdom through technology and innovation; To contribute to achieving the goals of the health sector and the “Kingdom’s Vision 2030”.
The company also showcased during the exhibition the First System Company for Logistics Services “Proceed”, which specializes in providing transport services for medicines and medical products for individuals, government and private agencies, and blood transfusion services between hospitals, primary care centers, and central blood banks around the Kingdom.
