Reuters reported, “The Israeli ambassador to Cyprus, Oren Onlek, was kidnapped today, Wednesday, along with two of his companions, on the coast, and contact with them was lost for hours.”

She said, “They were taken to an unknown destination, and the Cypriot police confirmed the veracity of the news,” noting that “research and investigation into them is ongoing.”

Later, “the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs denied the kidnapping of the Israeli ambassador and his companions in Cyprus.”

Ambassador Oren Onelik also appeared in a video clip on his account on the “X” platform in which he confirmed that the news was not true, and said, “I hear that some false news is spreading about me. “I assure you I am fine. It seems that someone has come up with a very creative way to have the whole world call me, text me and wish me a Happy Jewish New Year.”

In this context, two bombings occurred near the Israeli embassy in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark.

The Danish police said, “They are investigating two explosions that occurred in the vicinity of the Israeli embassy in the northern suburbs of Copenhagen,” noting that “no one was hurt, and we are conducting preliminary investigations at the scene.”

They added, “The possibility of a link between the two bombings and the Israeli embassy in the area is being investigated.”
