Lahore,

A no-confidence motion passed by the opposition parties in Pakistan’s parliament in April last year. As a result, the government of Pakistan headed by Prime Minister Imran Khan was overthrown.

Following this, Shabazz Sharif, who was the leader of the opposition, took over as the new Prime Minister of Pakistan.

Imran Khan, who has refused to accept Shabazz Sharif as the new prime minister, has accused his coup of a foreign conspiracy. Also, Imran Khan is accusing former Pakistan Army Chief General Javid Bajwa of being the main reason for removing him from the government.

Also, Imran Khan has been rallying supporters of his party Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf against the new government of Pakistan from time to time. The Pakistani government is suppressing these protests.

Meanwhile, speaking at a public meeting in Lahore last Sunday, Imran Khan blamed former army general Bajwa for removing him from the post of prime minister. His speech was telecast live on various news agencies across the country.

Following his speech in Islamabad, the police tried to arrest Imran Khan in a corruption case. But Imran Khan denied the allegations against him. He also filed a case in the court seeking bail from the arrest process. The court heard the case and ordered police to arrest Imran Khan for 2 weeks.

In this case, the Department of Information and Telecommunications has ordered Pakistani news agencies to broadcast Imran Khan’s speech and interview. The Pakistan Information and Telecommunication Department has ordered that Imran Khan’s speech and interview should not be broadcast because he is making baseless allegations against the government and inciting hatred.

Within 2 hours of the ban, Pakistan’s leading news agency ARY broadcast Imran Khan’s speech in Lahore. The Pakistan Information and Telecommunication Department revoked the license of the news agency for airing Imran Khan’s speech in violation of the ban.
