Valerie Hamati, 21, was chosen to play the character of Tirza Atar in the play, and to share the role with the singers Miri Mesika and Roni Dalumi.
In the play, which tells the life story of the national poet Natan Alterman, his poems are embedded alongside the poems of Tirza Atar, his daughter.
As part of her musical role, Hamati will perform songs such as “Birthday Prayer”, “Song of Preservation”, “Song of the Preserved”, “Elifelet”.
Butter said she was excited to be part of the National Theater’s flagship production “It’s an honor for me to go up and play on one stage with top actors.”
The Habima National Theater reported: “In light of the success and high demand, we have added many plays and we are happy that Hamati has joined the theater.”
