The government relaxed restrictions on imported goods to deal with the economic crisis in Sri Lanka.
The Sri Lankan Ministry of Finance has relaxed import restrictions on 369 items in March and April. The ban on imports of foreign goods was imposed to reduce the cost of foreign exchange.
The Central Bank of Sri Lanka has stated that it will work with banks to import essential commodities and ensure that importers receive adequate foreign exchange.
