Nextcom will build communication infrastructures for government offices for NIS 25 million per year

The company Nextcom, which deals with the implementation of wireless communication infrastructure projects and communication and electricity infrastructures, won a tender by the Accountant General of the Treasury (Hashkal) in the field of passive communication infrastructures for the various government ministries, including the Prime Minister’s office. According to the company, based on past data of tenders published by the Hashkal In the field of passive communication infrastructures, the expected annual revenue for the company from the provision of services is approximately NIS 25 million.

According to the agreement, Nextcom will be responsible for the purchase, supply and installation of passive communication equipment in government offices, trust units and related entities. The contract is for a period of 3 years with an option for Hashkal to extend the contract period by another 4 years.

In addition to the systems and services to be provided, the Accountant General Division of the Ministry of Finance may also purchase from Nextcom warranty services for systems purchased for a period not exceeding 6 years from the date of installation of the relevant system at the customer’s place.

The activity of the communication sector at Bankscom presented a growth of about 7% in revenues in the first nine months of 2022 mainly thanks to the increase in the scope of projects for laying optical fibers. At the same time, the company focuses on continuing to increase its renewable energy activity through the promotion and execution of significant and large-scale solar projects. In this framework, the subsidiary Energy has built solar roofs in recent years, and for female entrepreneurs in the energy market also solar farms and floating farms to the extent of hundreds of millions of shekels.

The Nextcom share jumped by 34% (after losing 61% in 2022) since the beginning of the year to a price of NIS 6.1, which represents a market value of NIS 87.2 million.
